Joseph Mulala Nguramo, a native of the Democratic Republic of Congo, graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point. He also holds a Master’s Degree from the School of Advanced International Studiesat Johns Hopkins University. Applying his expertise on African politics, business, and economic growth, he has worked at the Brookings Institution; at the Taubman Center for State and Local Government within Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government; and at the International Economic Alliance, where he acted as the liaison between government officials and private sector participants to promote trade and economic growth.
Currently, Mr. Nguramo is a fellow at the Scowcroft Center for Strategy and Security and the Freedom and Prosperity Projectat the Atlantic Council in Washington, D.C. Furthermore, he co-teaches a course on “Supply Chain Diplomacy” at the School of Advanced and International Studies at Johns Hopkins.
Mr. Nguramo is a regular consultant to the US State Department and to Congress, providing pertinent analysis on current Central African politics and socio-economic challenges. Similarly, Central African governments and officials regularly seek his feedback and counsel. Furthermore, he provides consulting services to private and public companies interested in investing in Central Africa.
